Training gap!

There is a skill out there for everyone. In order to fill this so called ‘Skills Gap”, I think we all need to invest in our employees and train them to the standards we all want and desire. Merely posting a job description online is not a good way of finding the right employee. Often times we sacrifice personality over experience. When we sacrifice that way, we are rolling the dice on a personality that may not work or fit. First let’s start out by determining the skill we are looking for. Of course, it is always going to benefit you if you can hire from within. Second determine the lowest benchmark for that job. I think it is more important to invest in an employee and get them up to standards. With a little bit of training with the benchmarks that need to be met, we can work our new team member into the job we want and we can choose the desired speed in which we train the “newbie”. FACTS: https://www.taonline.com/TAPOffice/ The Website states: Two days will be dedicated to core curriculum training, which consists of going over personal finances, family adjustments, VA benefits, and mentorship Three days of the program will be spent on a Department of Labor employment workshop, involving resume writing, practice job interviews, job search practice, and how to use social media The last two days are optional focusing on three different tracks: College-bound: financial aid, classroom adjustments Working: career technical training, certification information Entrepreneurs: small business startup instructions MY OPNION Am I reading that correct? 5 days mandatory and 2 days optional??? its is amazing what a positive sentence can do to a teammate in need of positive reinforcement.

Sarcastically Positive and Cynically Optimistic.

I am ok with gender, race politics, space travel and any subject that brings a smile. My fear is that I will miss someone that needs my laughter. I am voice of reason in a season of change. I am only human and I am going to make mistakes. I am beyond the threshold of how we treat our fellow Americans. One minute we are crying out for help and equality and the next minute we are trying to muffle the voices that oppose our ideals. There are so many people that want to be negative and want to be harsh but I am no that guy. I am tired of hearing how we are all going to die because a certain person takes office. But I know the voice of pessimism has a room in our house of freedom however negativity and anger doesn’t help anyone’s cause. I am 43 years old and its time my voice is heard but I must warn you I am going to be overall optimistic and honest in a way I never dreamed of.

Always and Forever

WOW!

So about a month ago I was searching random videos on YouTube. I came across a video comparing how America recycles and hos Norway recycles. I watched the video until the end and was impressed but how Norway contributes to making the world a better place. Being that I love American and I am an avid patriot, I left a comment about how I feel that America needs to step up and find a better way to use and recycle. As an American I thought we (USA) can do that and I feel like we could come up with something better to help the world become a cleaner place. In other words I was praising what Norway had done but I was excited to inspire American thinkers to do more. What I got in return was a heavy stampede of TROLL comments from “ GO FUCK YOURSELF” to other narratives that I cannot repeat. I also got several statements that I should not have kids and if I do have kids that I should take their lives to spare them from my narrow way of thinking.
