Why are feelings important?
Feelings are important because it is all we have. Feelings help us through good times, bad times and times that only matter to us. Feelings deliver us in and out of evil they can be so strong to push us to suicide. Feelings can gives us hope when there is nothing to hope for. A spark, a tear a very distant light at the end of an infinite tunnel. The value we give to our feelings increases or decreases the effect. Some feelings are so strong that they can manifest into real world situations.
If we seriously have the chance to manifest our thoughts into dreams, then why do we as a species live in so much hate and discontent? Why does the media spread misery and opposition towards those who believe differently? The constant battle among politicians and the status quo of Washington is mind blowing. In my mind, feelings are tough to wrangle and for some reason we feel it is easier to be negative. Maybe because most Americans are in fact lazy.
Why are we so careful about our feelings when we give others power but yet we are so quick to care less about others feelings when we have the power. Bullying (for example) is about the imbalance of power or the power we decide to give others when we don’t know how to forgive and forget. Being able to let go of others words or demands allows the situation to become diffused. When we give power to words and demands we force that imbalance of power, granting value to others. #positivethinking
